CURRIE PARK West Palm Beach, Florida
Currie Park

Currie Park is a major city park in West Palm Beach, Florida, which needed a drastic overhaul to improve its quality of recreation. This office wasrequested to redesign the entire park with the exception of the existing monument dedicated to Martin Luther King, which was to be preserved in its present state

The Master Plan consisted of 14 acre of land. This included marine facilities with parking, 2 botanical gardens with open decks, pergolas, 15 pavilions, a lookout, a colonnade, a lighthouse, a 2.3 acre lake, 6,000 lineal feet of walks and jogging trails, pedestrian bridge, main entrance,  North Flagler Avenue feature and rotary, fountains, fishing piers and 2 tennis courts.

Except for the marrine facilities and the tennis courts, the rest of the park is limited to pedestrian users, having an elaborate main entrance, flanked by a prominent round about in North Flagler Avenue with a major fountain surrounded by typical palm trees.
